Distressed Debt Investors Turning to Real Estate- Have We Hit The Bottom?

by Greg Hughes

I came across this article awhile back and thought it was interesting. The article “Distressed Debt Investors Turning to Real Estate” by Joy Leopold states, “A survey of 100 distressed debt investors found that this year many will increasingly devote their money to real estate.” For the whole article, CLICK HERE.

I think that it is interesting news that there is an expected increase in real estate holding by these equity firms from 26 percent to 48 percent. It seems the tide is turning and I continue to hear and see the big money starting to make more and more moves in real estate. I recently talked with a broker here in town that has started to see the same pattern. What do you think, have we hit the bottom?
